This class is a great introduction for students who have just begun exploring their cameras. It provides information that can be referenced as they continue to use their cameras. This class is information-packed, but does not require students to take or turn in any photos. They will be invited to share exploratory shots in the classroom. It is focused on understanding the main mechanisms and settings of the camera broadly, kind of like a two day "tour" of your camera. Class 1: Batteries, Memory Cards, File Transfer Shooting Mode Dial Shutters -- Drive & Shutter Release Modes: Single shot vs Continuous Shooting Focus Points & Focus Modes Class 2: Exposure and How a Camera Works: ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed P, A, S and M / P, Av, Tv, and M Modes What Makes Photography Art? This class will work well for continuing on to the popular 101/201/301 classes, if students are wanting to continue, and will also set students up to excel in experimenting on their own!
