Description
Class Experience
We will cover how to listen for rhythm, how to play with a band as we incorporate other important concepts like: *Time signatures *Basic music theory, *Notation *Fills *Rock beats *Rudiments Introductory topics include: *Engaging *Blind counting *Right hand and High Hat *Right foot and kick drum *Left hand and snare drum
Students will get to pick from various assignments presented in lessons, often practicing and presenting a single concept for multiple weeks as they work to perfect it.
1 file available upon enrollmentNo need to purchase anything. At minimum, students should have 2 sticks from their yard and 2 buckets, pots or pans to hit. Eventually, a $2 pair of drumsticks or a 97-cent bucket could be a nice optional upgrade. If you have a drum kit, even better! It doesn't matter how fancy the drums are because it's not what you hit, it's when you hit it.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
