Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Brad Novak. I'm an educator, business owner, drummer, and musician and would LOVE to work with your child! I currently teach over 100 students weekly in one-on-one and ensemble sessions at my private teaching studio called The Beat Lab. In addition to my responsibilities at The Beat Lab I also teach...
- Drum set at Interlochen Arts Academy, a fine arts high school in Interlochen, MI
- Beginning band at the Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools in Traverse City, MI
- Applied Percussion for Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, MI
- Multiple percussion and Ukulele classes for our local Homeschool co-op.

In addition to my teaching schedule I perform live with several local artists and record drums and percussion tracks for singer/songwriter projects.

I studied music/drumming at Berklee College of Music in 1996 and at Central Michigan University from 1997-2001. This education, and the fantastic teachers/professors that worked with me, sparked my own interest in educating. Since then. I've been "full speed ahead"!!!

I'm blessed with an amazing wife, 3 wonderful children, 1 always-hungry dog, and 7 chickens!
