Each week we will breakdown and discuss a new drum beat! The beats we will discuss include rock and roll beats, latin beats, jazz, funk, country, etc. We will discuss these beats, their history, and the drummers who created them and made them famous! We'll also look at particular songs that share these beats. This jam packed class will have you jamming to your favorite music in no time!!! Students should have access to a full drum set for each class. In addition, each student should have access to headphones/earbuds with which they can hear the class. Phone/laptop speakers are insufficient for this class.

I studied music/drumming at Berklee College of Music in 1996 and at Central Michigan University from 1997-2001. This education, and the fantastic teachers/professors that worked with me, sparked my own interest in educating. Since then. I've been "full speed ahead"!!!
I'm blessed with an amazing wife, 3 wonderful children, 1 always-hungry dog, and 7 chickens!
