I served as a public school music teacher for over a decade in the performing arts and academic music. I have taught ages preschool through high school, with my entire career has included 5th - 8th grade. As a music teacher, I was a multi-time recipient of grants to fund the resources to teach my curriculum and build the needed non-profit organizations to support education. My teaching philosophy embraces active learning, is project-oriented, and provides learners with real-world experiences they can enjoy and expand on.
