Drop-In Piano: Fun and Games for Beginners 1

Welcome to Drop-In Piano Fun and Games!
Weekly classes are not built upon previous weeks, learners can join and leave at any time.  

Every week, we will review concepts during the first part of class. Songs will be repeated, so new learners will be able to fully participate and returning learners will build their musical skills through repetition. 

Each week will include
-Games for posture and hand position
-Playing pentascales 
-1-2 Songs (printables available for home practice)
-Improvisation and creativity activity
-Rhythm activity
-Games for learning music notation
-Student solos (optional)

Through these activities, students will learn

-Keyboard geography
-Finger dexterity
-Quarter, half, whole notes and rests
-Listening skills
-Confidence and creativity

Any piano or electric keyboard can be used for class. I will send songs and printables after each class for students to practice at home, but no homework or prior experience is required.

I use a combination of visual aids, short easy to follow demonstrations, songs, and interactive games to keep learners engaged and excited.
