Description
Class Experience
Students determine learning goals by completing a short survey 24 hours prior to the class.
I have over seven years experience working with youth through mentoring, working in special education, college-level tutoring, teaching English language learners and teaching gifted and talented students! I have spent four years working as a volunteer mentor with 6th through 10th grade students. While studying at University, I tutored fellow college students in statistics and psychology courses. I also have experience working in special education as a special education technician assisting reading and math instruction. Through my year-long pre-service teacher education program I taught 5th and 7th grade students in mathematics. As a classroom teacher, I taught 6th grade general education mathematics, 6th grade mathematics for English Language Learners, and 7th grade gifted and talented mathematics.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
