Beginner - Advanced Level
Drones is an extremely broad subject. As such, I cover many topics based on what student's find most engaging and most applicable to them. I have developed four basic curriculums to choose from, but these can be altered depending on what is best for your child. Curriculum 1 - FAA laws and regulations, airspace, METARs, safety, drone maintenance, basic flying skills Curriculum 2 - Building and repairing drones, photo and video editing, small business management, careers and opportunities Curriculum 3 - Aviation weather and physics, how to conduct a flight operation, flight plans and prep, FAA drone registration, documentation Curriculum 4 - Part 107 Remote Pilot exam prep (this can be an addition to any of the above curriculums, recommended addition to curriculum 1)
Learning Goals
Part 107 Remote Pilot exam prep, FAA laws and regulations, airspace, METARs, safety, drone maintenance, basic flying skills
Building and repairing drones, photo and video editing, small business management, careers and opportunities

Parental Guidance
In the process of taking this course, your child may be interested in buying a drone and/or building a drone. They will be taught the proper safety precautions to take while doing so, but accidents happen. I will keep you informed of the things your child is being taught, especially as it pertains to flying drones and building drones, but adult supervision and other precautions are your responsibility to set with your child.
Supply List
I will be using a few textbooks. You don't necessarily need to purchase them, I have them and will be able to teach from them what your child needs, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have them on hand. - The Droner's Manual by Kevin Jenkins - The Photographer's Guide to Drones by Colin Smith - FAA Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement for Sport Pilot, Recreational Pilot, Remote Pilot, and Private Pilot (free pdf available online) - FAA Aviation Weather Handbook (free pdf available online)

Teacher expertise and credentials
- I have received a certificate in Unmanned Aerial Systems from USU. I learned how to build drones, fly both fixed-wing drones and quadcopters, the laws and legal operations of UASs, weather, safety, general aviation, and much more.
- I am a current part 107 Remote Pilot's license holder. I have taken the part 107 exam and the renewal test several times.
- I have 4 years of experience teaching students ages 6 to adults in various subjects
- I am qualified to teach both hobbyists and those looking to earn their part 107 Remote Pilot's license (it is important to note that there is no age minimum for flying drones, but you must be 16 years or older in order to receive your part 107)
