Dream It, Design It, 3D Print It! (Introduction)
In this 1-hour session, participants will be introduced to a Free CAD Designing Platform to design, build, test, and debug 3D objects. Students will build a simple 3D object and test its feasibility to be printable.

Depending on their involvement, a feasible 3D printable object would be available to show to family and friends by the end of the class. As soon as we receive the file by email, we will print it and ship it to you.Class Experience
This class is a discovery class where the only requirement is a passion for learning, creating, and collaborating. In this online live course, each student will: - Participate in a class with other children his/her age group (10-14) using a Design Platform to create their first simple geometric 3D printable object. - Learn to use the platform, build and debug one simple 3-dimensional object. - Collaborate with small groups (6 students maximum per class) with one adult certified live instructor. Syllabus/Topics covered: Introduction to the Platform - What is 3D printing? - What is PLA? - Build and send to print a simple three-dimensional object. The 60 minutes class are incredibly interactive: 15-minute lecture using videos and slides. 35-minute self-paced creation. 10-minute discussion and sharing of achievements.
Learning Goals
Students learn to pay attention to detail, think critically, and be patient by designing and modeling one simple solid object.

Supply List
The price of the class includes the printing and shipping of a 2"x2" model to your location in the USA. Once we receive the file it might take up to one week before we ship it to you. A notebook and pencil/pen to plan their projects and document their progress. macOS or Windows PC to run the application and test the student designs.
