In this multi-day art class, artists will meet each week to create some simple drawings and doodles!
Class experience
Each week, artists doodle and draw together: we will focus on animals and use a circle to prompt our drawings, but we can let our imagination and ideas go: food, faces, objects, designs and more! It is fun to start with a simple circle and see how much you can do with it and all the amazing drawings that can come from it! After brief introductions, artists will be shown examples of the basic strokes, lines and shapes and completed drawings for that week’s theme. We will draw together,...
My goal is for artists to have fun learning to doodle and draw different animals and other things by starting with a circle shape and adding simple lines and other embellishments and to continue to practice drawings on their own time.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and have enjoyed working with vibrant colors through markers, paints, and chalk pastels. My style is more simple, abstract, and graphic and this is reflected in my artwork over the years. I enjoyed working with elementary-aged students for a few years when I ran a volunteer-led art program. We did a wide variety of simple art projects that incorporated the elements of art and principles of design, as well as inspiration from an art master. I love the simplicity of these drawings!
