Class Experience
Artists frequently use math elements such as shape, line, pattern, symmetry and perspective to convey their ideas visually. It is fun to create drawings with the problem-solving mindset of a mathematician. In this class, we will create unique drawings based on mathematical concepts. Students will create 4 different drawings. Students will learn about the math and art elements of: geometric shapes, lines, angles, fractions, pattern, and symmetry.
I am a professional artist and arts educator with expertise in arts integration.
White paper Pencil Black marker Coloring materials: crayons, markers or colored pencils
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner's progress is assessed through discussion and demonstrating knowledge through drawing.
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
If the student does not finish work in class, they may want to continue working on their own time.
