Listening to stories has many benefits, including developing focus, patience, and literacy skills. Stories are a great way for children to learn life lessons in a fun way. In each class, learners will listen to a story in a relaxed environment. There will be group recitation and questions throughout the story. After the story, learners will participate in a step-by-step drawing tutorial. The drawings will be simple; designed for learners to further develop their fine-motor skills / shape recognition / and artistic expression. These skills will also assist learners as they begin perfecting their writing. The drawings will either be of an animal, character, or involve the theme from the story. In each class, we talk about how just like all of us look different - our drawings may all look a little different too! Just like us, even though our drawings are different, they are all awesome, amazing, and incredible! I hope to fuel a passion and love for reading and drawing within your child! Materials: Paper Pencil Crayons and / or Colored Pencils
