We will work on reading strategies while reading aloud the book, A Unicorn Named Sparkle and draw an easy unicorn together. Younger students are supported with a unicorn print out that can be traced and colored.

Class Experience

If your student likes unicorns, sparkles, and drawing; then this class is for you! This is a very interactive and student centered class.

Students will be introduced to key vocabulary and answer teacher directed questions throughout the story. The students will follow the teacher in a simple directed drawing of a unicorn. Students will be able to share their art with the class.

Students will learn new vocabulary words and how to ask questions throughout a story to boost comprehension. 
Students will improve their communication skills through interacting with one another in class discussion and sharing. 
Students will improve their fine motor skills through coloring and/or following a directed drawing.

  1 file available upon enrollmentStudents will need colored pencils or pencils for drawing and a piece of paper. 
Just for fun, students can bring glue and glitter to add to their unicorn. Glue and glitter are not required.

Parental support maybe needed based on student ability/age.
