Drawing Unicorns: Story and Art

We will work on reading strategies while reading aloud the book, A Unicorn Named Sparkle and draw an easy unicorn together. Younger students are supported with a unicorn print out that can be traced and colored.

Class Experience

Students will learn new vocabulary words and how to ask questions throughout a story to boost comprehension. 
Students will improve their communication skills through interacting with one another in class discussion and sharing. 
Students will improve their fine motor skills through coloring and/or following a directed drawing. 
 1 file available upon enrollment
Students will need colored pencils or pencils for drawing and a piece of paper. Just for fun, students can bring glue and glitter to add to their unicorn. Glue and glitter are not required.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental support maybe needed based on student ability/age.
