Learners will understand and be able to apply key steps to help them draw a face and to help with any other drawings done at home.
I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in New York City where I was trained to draw and paint realistically in a traditional way. While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently.
Homework will be posted on Mondays along with the drawing tutorial. The homework will consist of a drawing of the feature of the week plus. To make the most of this class, learners will: - post a photo by Friday (or before the next Monday) of their drawing. - present the drawing by either posting a video or picture - interact kindly with other learners by commenting on classmates' work and thanking classmates' praise - answer fun discussion prompts on Wednesdays to get to know each other

Learners will receive a short summarizing and encouraging assessment at the end of the 5 weeks.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
