Let's draw realistic faces from all different angles! In this four-lesson series, we'll practice portrait drawing strategies and create beautiful realistic sketches of faces and hair from the front, side, and 3/4 view. This class is for students who would like to practice portrait drawing strategies such as: -- Making faces proportionate & realistic -- Drawing realistic features (eyes, noses, mouths, ears, etc) with different expressions -- Making the face look 3D, from different...
We will practice drawing human faces from a variety of different angles. We'll practice strategies and techniques to make faces look more 3D and realistic.
Figure drawing is my favorite art discipline! I have years of experience creating my own drawings and sculptures, using the human form as inspiration, and I always brought my enjoyment and expertise to my students when we created figurative artworks. I have taught figure and portrait drawing to elementary, junior high, and high school age students for over a decade, and look forward to meeting more young artists who want to learn this skill!
All you'll need for this class is: -- Drawing paper -- Pencil -- A good eraser That's it! Feel free to sketch in a sketchbook, use fancy drawing pencil sets, and your favorite dinosaur-shaped eraser...or whatever you feel most comfortable using :)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be using photographs of people as references. Photographs will depict a diverse range of humans, and respect for all models will be expected. Please feel free to address concerns with me beforehand, and I will take your student's needs into consideration.
