Class Experience

During the class we will draw the center of the Italian Renaissance Rome. Majestic works, as the new Saint Peter's Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and Ponte Sisto. The place where the Popes engaged the best artists of the time, including Michelangelo, Raphael, Ghirlandaio, Botticelli. The Trevi Fountain which we will capture is an 18th-century fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, Italy, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini and several others. It is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world.
They will know how to build step by step the shapes, using a regular pencil and add details to remind the beauty of the lines, circles, columns and arcs. I simplify the rich in details statues and other clear shapes of buildings. This will be the main target of the class and will help the students to understand the steps of drawing.
Children will learn how to divide space and place in the paper size a large architectural composition as main goal of understanding the drawing.
Learning Goals
The students will become familiar of the look of a Renaissance style and will learn how to simplify the architectural drawing and build it on the piece of paper the way it stands at Rome. It will include basic knowledge of composition.
