From Scrumptious Snacks to Stunning Skylines - Let's Draw It All! A creative, skill-building class where we explore different subjects each week and learn how to draw everything with confidence. GOAL As a professional artist who specializes in old master drawing and painting methods, my goal is to teach artists essential tools so they can create confidently and independently in any style. ABOUT In this weekly drawing class, we’ll explore a wide range of subjects—from people and animals to food, landscapes, and machines. Each class focuses on a fun topic while introducing key drawing techniques that strengthen observation, creativity, and foundational skills. Artists are welcome to add their own flair or suggest what we draw—we keep it engaging, interactive, and skill-focused without the pressure. We’ll explore techniques such as: Shape and Structure – Building subjects with simple forms Line and Contour – Creating strong outlines and expressive lines Light and Shadow – Using shading and contrast to show depth Texture and Detail – Bringing drawings to life with different marks and techniques Perspective and Space – Drawing scenes and objects in 3D Composition and Storytelling – Arranging elements to guide the viewer’s eye CLASS STRUCTURE Each session starts with observing the reference photo for basic shapes, movement, and proportion. Then we draw the subject step-by-step together, focusing on form, technique, and creativity. I draw alongside learners, model techniques, and give supportive feedback. Artists are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, or follow along quietly at their own pace. Classes do not build week to week—perfect for busy artists who want a mix of flexibility, variety, and growth. We’ll cycle through these drawing topics: People • Nature (Landscape) • Food • Animals • Buildings/Machines/Perspective • Nature (Close-Up) • Objects (Still Life) Topics may shift slightly depending on learner interest or seasonal ideas. Other Details

Teacher expertise and credentials
I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in New York City where I was trained to draw and paint realistically in a traditional way. While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently.
