Our drawing class is designed not just to enhance artistic skills but also to foster a warm community of Super Mario Fans. Here's what makes this class a must-join: 🤗 Warm and Welcoming Start: Each weekly meeting kicks off with a chance for students to share exciting updates from their week. Some share artwork, a favorite plushie, a new LEGO build, or a pet. It's a perfect way to build connections and develop new friendship skills. ✏️ Step-by-Step Guidance: Ms. Jes leads young artists through an easy-to-follow step-by-step directed drawing process. Your child will learn to break down favorite characters into simple shapes and lines, making it easy to recreate them in their own style. Artists are encouraged to add backgrounds or keep the drawings simple and just add color - all creative choices are celebrated in our class! 🎨 Unleash Your Creativity: I will teach using a black marker, to make my lines bold and easy to follow. Students can follow along with a black marker as well, or with a pencil if they would like the option to make adjustments. Next, students are encouraged to bring their drawings to life using any coloring tool they prefer. Crayons, pastels, or markers - the sky's the limit! 🗓️ Class Schedule: Each week introduces a new character to explore, ensuring that students continually grow their skills and creative expression. Learners are able to join at any point, as each meeting stands alone. Supply List
Students should have blank paper, a black marker, and coloring utensils of all colors needed for the character. Students may bring a pencil if they are more comfortable using a pencil, rather than a marker. They can always trace back over their pencil line with the marker.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I am most passionate about teaching art and learning in unique ways. My approach to teaching infuses encouragement and optimism while having fun and connecting with a new generation over shared interests. Every child is special and celebrated for being who they are! No matter the class, I believe in positively approaching learning and finding joy in it.
• Outside of Outschool, I founded a nonprofit youth performing arts academy in 2015.
