Drawing & Sketching Faces & Figures

Are you a student who loves drawing and sketching realistic people, characters, manga, or hybrid designs? Join our weekly live online art class designed for students aged 13 and up! As a Star Educator on Outschool with over 10 years of experience teaching art in K-12 public schools, I am excited to help you unlock your artistic potential in a supportive and encouraging environment.

What to Expect:
Tailored Learning: Each class is designed to meet you where you are. With small class sizes and a relaxed teaching style, I tailor my instruction to your individual needs. You will leave each session feeling confident and excited about your progress.

Directed Approach: Our sessions focus on drawing subjects associated with people. You will learn essential techniques such as proportion, texture, and shading. We will practice seeing basic shapes, explore blending, and discover color mixing techniques.

Creative Choices: Each week, you will have the opportunity to choose the focus of your next drawing. Creativity is celebrated, and I encourage interaction and fun during the creative process. This learner-based experience ensures your unique artistic voice shines through.

Engagement and Feedback:
At the end of each class, there will be an optional sharing time where you can discuss your artwork with peers. Positive critiques and discussions will help you better understand your work, relate to others, and find inspiration.

Class Details:
Classes may vary in length depending on the materials used, and a list of specific supplies will be provided in advance. Two cameras will be utilized during class: one focusing on my work area, allowing you to follow along with detailed instructions while encouraging your creative choices.

Flexible Enrollment:
You can decide how many classes to attend! There’s no long-term commitment required—stay enrolled for 10 months, join for a single session, or pop in and out based on your schedule. If a listed time doesn’t work for you, please reach out—I am happy to accommodate your schedule whenever possible!

Important Information:
⚠️ Camera Requirement: Per Outschool guidelines, students must have their camera on for visual confirmation before class begins. After confirmation, you can choose how to use your camera.
⚠️ Separate Enrollment: Each sibling or co-learner must enroll separately.
