Beginner Level
This is part of a series of three classes introducing line, shape and color the basic elements of design for early childhood learners. In this class we will explore shape, one of the basic elements of design. While I encourage creative expression the learner will experience a playful, interactive introduction to different kinds of shapes including circles, squares, and triangles. Using the creative process to imagine, explore, discover and reflect we will draw together and learn to see shapes all around us using our “artist’s eyes”. I encourage interaction with the learner through our classroom messaging where they can ask questions or upload a photo of their art work.
Learning Goals
Learners will explore drawing shapes combining what they see with their imagination.
Learners will discover that using drawing tools in different ways changes the marks they make.
