Marsupial Edition! Only pencil and paper is needed to create these fun Realistic Animal Drawings! I create each sketch in advance, and then teach learners how to create their very own, step-by-step, using simple shapes and lines. With the right guidance and instructions, your little artist IS capable of creating detailed Art. I also teach a Live Realistic Animal Drawing Club that meets weekly, I will link below for those interested. This is a Self-Paced Course, which gives learners the opportunity to participate on their own schedule, and at their own speed. Artists will be guided through the creation of each piece of Art with pre-recorded instructional videos. Throughout the 4-week course, we will be drawing a... - Red Kangaroo - Sugar Glider - Opossum - Koala Bear Realism is all in the details- These are lengthy videos. Each video will be 35-45 minutes long, and can be paused as needed depending on how much detail your Artist would like to incorporate. A close-up image of the artwork will also be attached for each class. While this class is geared towards having FUN while creating, I aim for my learners to leave my classes with a good foundation of sketching and shading techniques, as well as some basic skills that can be applied towards future drawings. We will be discussing different styles of shading, adding dimension, creating proportions, line weight, contrast, and much more! I use a second camera, so learners are able to see the in-progress and completed drawing up close.
Learning Goals
The goal for my artists is to walk away from this course with a new set of Art skills that can be applied towards future works of Art. If these classes spark a little extra creativity, even better!
We will be discussing different styles of shading, adding dimension, creating proportions, line weight, contrast, and much more!
Syllabus
4 Lessons
over 4 WeeksLesson 1:
Red Kangaroo
Our first drawing will be of the largest Marsupial on the planet- the Red Kangaroo!
Lesson 2:
Sugar Glider
Is it a bird? A plane? Our next Marsupial can glide through the air an astonishing 150 ft- the Sugar Glider!
Lesson 3:
Opossum
Not to be confused with Australia's 'possum' (which is closer related to last weeks animal). The Opossum, which has adapted the nickname Possum, may be more of a scaredy cat than you realized.
Lesson 4:
Koala Bear
They start their lives out the size of peanut! But with their Mother's care, and a LOT of sleep, they grow to be one of our favorite Marsupials- the Koala bear.
