Students will be able to create a drawing that is all their own.  They will learn about shapes and lines that comprise the subject, and how their combination contribute toward completion. Shading and blending techniques will be taught, with students deciding to what extent they would like to add these features to their piece. Techniques related to all other mediums will be focused on, with particular attention given to those that are unfamiliar to the student. 

I am a lifelong, self- taught artist beginning at a very young age.  I received 3 years of advanced art instruction in secondary school. My experience includes displaying and selling my work in an art gallery which I owned and operated.  I continue to be privately commissioned and give pieces as gifts.  Prior to retiring from working in special education, I applied my skills in the form of art therapy for behaviorally challenged children in the classroom setting.
