Class Experience

Early sessions focus on at least 2-4 creatures from different cultures

Dragons will be done for fun with extra time, they may or may not be from history.

Each month we change the creatures. Repeat creatures are possible. Creatures will be from, Japan, England, Ireland, India etc

I encourage students to share their favorite mythical creatures. Content will not always be horror-based. Students may ask for any previously done creatures, style changes from cartoon to realistic. Students are encouraged to ask for favorite styles Ex: Anime, or pixar. Video clips may occasionally be shown.

The instructor uses photoshop for drawing, students do not need an app, as many use pencil and paper instead.

Students MUST ask for feedback on their own. The instructor will check in but will not insist. Students don't always want to hear feedback and can become emotional when given it.

If you would like book suggestions or are curious about my sources feel free to ask!
Learning Goals
Students will learn to design horror and non horror characters while being encouraged to do independent thinking as instructor will give them tips.
