Class Experience

In our "Let's Draw Monsters, Kaijus, and Robots" class, students will learn how to design and draw their own fantastical creatures using core art techniques such as proportion, shading, texture, and perspective. We’ll cover a range of exciting topics, including how to create dynamic poses for monsters, design futuristic robots with intricate mechanical details, and sketch massive kaijus inspired by legendary films and comics.

This class is structured to balance creativity with skill development. Each session will begin with a brief lecture and demonstration, followed by guided practice where students will work on their own designs. We’ll also incorporate interactive elements such as games, fun design challenges, and discussions about famous creatures in popular culture to inspire the students. The class will use a mix of references, video clips, and live drawing demonstrations to make learning both engaging and educational.

My teaching style focuses on fostering creativity and self-expression while providing clear, step-by-step guidance to build confidence in drawing. I encourage questions and discussions to create a supportive, interactive environment where each learner feels comfortable exploring their creativity. By the end, they will have created their own unique portfolio of imaginative creatures!
