Class Experience

Welcome to Super Mario Bros advanced drawing class with Ms. Jes! In this class, art is not only about creating awesome pieces but also about building a community of learners who share a love for the iconic characters and games of Super Mario Bros!
This class offers a range of more advanced characters for us to draw together.

Each class starts with a warm welcome and students are encouraged to share any new and exciting things from their week. Then, we dive into drawing Super Mario Bros characters together. Ms. Jes will guide young artists step-by-step, drawing more advanced characters in an easy-to-follow way.

Students will use a pencil to start with, and are encouraged to let their creativity shine by adding shading or using any coloring utensil they prefer. From colored pencils to markers, the sky's the limit! We cover different characters each week, so artists will have the opportunity to learn new skills and expand their artistic abilities.

Hello, I'm Ms. Jes! 

In my classes, kids unleash their inner artist using favorite characters and games that I’m just as passionate about as they are. We explore spontaneous creativity and embracing “mistakes”. Let’s start drawing outside the box!

I am most passionate about teaching art and learning in unique ways. My approach to teaching infuses encouragement and optimism while having fun and connecting with a new generation over shared interests. Every child is special and celebrated for being who they are! No matter the class, I believe in positively approaching learning and finding joy in it. 

• Outside of Outschool, I founded a nonprofit youth performing arts academy in 2015. 

• I live in the beautiful Midwest of the USA with my husband and two children.
