Sea animals have been an inspiration for artists from different cultures and countries. From nature, they carry a variety of colors and forms to decorate the giant ocean. This class is intentionally designed to help students study a fish portrait by sketching with graphite and color pencils. With color pencils, students will experiment on techniques of shading in order to turn the sketch into a realistic drawing with a colorful palette . - Pencil (HB is recommended) - Eraser (Chopped diagonally) - Colored pencils (Prismacolor is recommended). - Q-Tips - Cotton balls (Brushes for substitution) - Baby oil (Cooking oil for substitution) - Thick paper ( Mix-Media, Watercolor, or Bristol)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
