In this two day course, students will learn to draw inferences from texts. Students must use comprehension skills. Students will be taught to use the RACE strategy to effectively respond to questions about the text. These are not one sentence answers, rather, a minimum of four sentences. Instruction will be provided. Next, students will complete guided practice where they will be led through the text and their response. Then, students will complete independent practice. To close the class, students will complete practice though the use of an interactive game, so bring along your cell phones for fun while you learn. Students will also have an example to work on in between classes.

Hi! I am Doliah Snead, a certified, highly-qualified educator with 16 years of experience. I’ve taught grades 4-8 and tutored grades K-12, all content areas. I’ve also taught on the collegiate level, counseling classes, stress and anger management sessions, budgeting and finance workshops, SAT prep, ACT prep, ASVAB prep, and a host of other courses. I've consulted with teachers to assist them in preparing lessons, and I've written curriculum for parents to homeschool their children and provided summer camps for students for acceleration over the summer, including hands-on activities, arts and crafts, college visitations and other weekly educational field trips.
My degrees are as follows: Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and Educational Leadership and Supervision, and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision. Currently, I am completing a Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling.
