○ We will begin this lesson by going through the basic steps of drawing an ice cream cone together, while giving students the freedom to construct it in the way that they choose. ○ We will then talk about ways we can make our drawings look more realistic and three-dimensional just by adding shading. ○ Students will learn the skill of cross-hatching, overlaying tiny lines to create a variation in dark to light, and receiving pointers as we draw together. ○ We will talk about line quality,...

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art, and have seven years of teaching experience.
No homework is assigned, but students are welcome to add color to their drawings after the lesson if they wish.
○ Paper ○ Pencil with eraser ○ Sharpener (if handy)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
