During this class, students will follow along with the instructor to create line drawings of horses. We will begin with an introduction to proportions and the concept of contour drawing. Students will work step by step along with the instructor. Each drawing will be unique in the interpretation of proportion, character of lines and mark making. Students will be encouraged to develop skills while also having fun in a relaxed atmosphere. This drawing is a little more advanced than the one presented in the previous horse drawing class from this instructor. The image of the horse will be provided on the classroom page after the class so that they can finish later if they don’t have time to finish in class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to measure proportions without rulers or tools. Students will learn about how to see basic shapes in everyday objects, and will also learn how light pressure applied with the pencil allows for ease of sketching and corrections during the drawing.

Sharpened pencils, eraser, any white paper, clear space on a table or desk for drawing

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
