Class Experience

-Students will learn a new weekly drawing technique
-Students will improve their drawing skills
-Students will improve their vocabulary of art
-Students will learn how to speak about art 
-Students will work with a professional artist and educator 
Amy Pollman is an internationally traveled Artist and Educator. She received her Master’s in Art Education from the University of Toledo with accreditation to teach K-12 in Art (2018) from the Ohio Department of Education, her MFA from Syracuse University in 2003, and her BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design in 1999. As a passionate educator of the Arts, Ms. Pollman advocates for cross-curricular integration, global citizenry, and development of personal voice in the classroom. Her methodology can be defined as a collaboration between student and teaching artist. Learners will have time to begin their artwork in class and can finish after class. It is recommended that they practice the technique discussed in their sketchbook for skill building. 
Spiral bound notebook with good quality drawing paper Option 1: Artist's Choice Sketch Pad,75 Sheets, Pack of 2 Option 2: Pencil set, white plastic eraser optional but recommended- kneaded eraser (comes with set below) Retractable erasers- pencil erasers colored pencils or markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class is self assessed, unless otherwise arranged. 
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
The instructor will provide all additional materials
