Class Experience

Students will develop their drawing skills and confidence in using them.
In all of my teaching for the last 25 years, I have incorporated some form of drawing into the classes, whether I'm teaching math, science, history, geography or English. I have found drawing not only develops hand-eye coordination, but also observational skills. The ability to bring a mental image down onto paper helps students retain information as well as create a piece of art they can be proud of.
The will be ho assigned homework but students may want to continue adding to their drawing after class
Materials needed: preferably good quality beeswax block or stick crayons such as Stockmar or Filana and 9" x 12" drawing paper, but good results can be achieved with regular crayons and printer paper. Colors should include yellow, blue, red, and green.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
