Description
Class Experience
In this 55-minute class students will learn about different styles of Modern art including the stories of some of the artist who made these art styles popular. Some of our diverse artists explored include: Jacob Lawrence, Frida Kahlo, Keith Haring, Akira Yoshizawa, and Wassily Kandinsky. Every class starts with a group welcome or share. This class is designed to provide both an introduction to modern art as well as creative exploration of modern art.
Ms. Nicole has taught exploration of modern art for over 2 years.
Students may choose to finish their art work outside of class
Pencil Blank Paper Coloring Pencils Markers or Crayons Ruler Eraser ** paint, paint brush, water (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students are not required to have paint or painting supplies in class. By registering for this course it is understood that any student who chooses to paint is responsible for setting up a safe space to paint. This includes ensuring that liquids for cleaning paint brushes are not close to electronic devices that may be damaged by spillage and placing any necessary covering on tables or floors to prevent permanent staining.
