Class Experience

Do you know that the Mosasaurus could swallow it's prey whole? Let's draw one together and talk about the Mosasaurus! 

In this interactive, one time class, learners will learn foundational drawing skills that can be applied to any drawing - from cartoon to realistic. For this class, we will focus on drawing a Mosasaurus with colored pencils, while learning some fun facts. Students will learn and practice applying key steps to finish the drawing. All levels are welcome!

Learners will be able to understand and be able to apply these steps - light and shadow, shapes, shading - to their own drawings at home.

I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in New York City where I was trained to draw and paint realistically in a traditional way. While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently.

Some learners may need to finish their drawings at home if they need more time, like I always do! 

Optional: Learners are encouraged to use the techniques they learned in class to their own drawings.
