In this week-long art camp, students will learn a variety of drawing, color-mixing, and design techniques as they draw realistic donuts, soft-serve, cake, pie, and popsicles!

Description

Class Experience

○ Students will learn methods of mixing and blending colors using colored pencils
○ Students will learn and build on their knowledge of the following shading techniques:
	○ Tonal Shading
	○ Hatching
	○ Cross-Hatching
	○ Scumbling
	○ Stippling
○ Students will begin to apply the following principles of design:
	○ Contrast
	○ Emphasis
	○ Unity
○ Students will begin to apply the following elements of design:
	○ Value
	○ Texture
	○ Form
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art, and have seven years of teaching experience.
No homework is assigned, but students are welcome to continue to add to their drawings after each lesson if they wish.
○ White Paper ○ Colored Pencils ○ Pencil with Eraser ○ Sharpener ○ Scrap paper (for testing/mixing colors)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
