What will be taught? In this class, students will learn to draw various types of curly hair, focusing on techniques to depict texture, volume, and different curl patterns accurately. What topics will you cover? Identifying and drawing different curl patterns (tight curls, loose waves, etc.) Techniques for creating texture and volume Shading and highlighting to enhance realism Integrating curly hair into portraits and character designs Encouraging personal style and creativity in character design How is your class structured? The class will start with an introduction to different curl patterns and techniques, followed by a demonstration of drawing methods. Students will then have time to practice these techniques with guidance and feedback. How will you teach? I will use a combination of direct instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. This will include a brief lecture on curl patterns and techniques, followed by live demonstrations and guided practice. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is interactive and supportive. I provide clear demonstrations and encourage students to experiment with their own styles. I prioritize a positive, relaxed atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. How much will learners get to interact with you? Students will interact with me through a mix of live demonstrations and hands-on practice. I will use slides and video clips to illustrate techniques and provide visual examples. There will also be time for individual feedback and discussion to address specific questions and challenges.
