Drawing: Creating Fun Characters for Stories and Ilustration (9-12) (Ongoing)

In this ongoing class we will learn how to draw people using the fundamentals of art. We will view this person as a character in a story, adding unique personality traits, poses and setting elements.

Class Experience

Students will draw one figure within a setting.
Students will draw a figure demonstrating a knowledge of shapes, gesture, proportion, line, and value.
Students will add creative elements to their drawing in the form of props, setting and facial expression.
I am professional artist, children's book illustrator and a certified K-12 art educator. 
White copy paper or drawing paper Pencil or pencil set Eraser Pencil Sharpener Optional: something to color with such as colored pencils or markers
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
All materials are teacher-created.
