What's included
1 live meeting
55 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this weekly club, we will draw incredible characters from popular media. Each week we will pick a character from our favorite cartoons, anime, books, comics/manga/graphic novels, and video games to draw. Below are a few examples. Cartoon Examples: Scooby-Doo, Gravity Falls, Avatar The Last Airbender, etc. Book Series Examples: Warrior Cats, Percy Jackson, Wings of Fire, etc. Anime Examples: Demon Slayer, Pokemon, One Piece, etc. Comic Book Examples: X-Men, Batman, Dragon Ball Z, etc. Video Game Examples: Mario, Link, Sonic, etc. Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing during each class. Students will learn how to breakdown figures into simple shapes to help them create more believable characters. We will also discuss other art topics such as shape language, line weight, color, and more. While this club does meet weekly, the content does not build. The fundamentals of drawing remains the same week to week. The only thing that changes from week to week is the subject matter drawn in class. Experience and Materials: This class is perfect for someone who is an absolute beginner or someone who wants to take their drawing skills to the next level. Students only need access to a pencil, paper, eraser, and coloring supplies to be successful in the class. Students may draw digitally if they have the access. What to Expect: Students will be greeted as they enter the classroom. They will be given an opportunity to share any artwork they feel most proud of prior to beginning class. Then, the instructor will share their screen and lead the students through a drawing lesson. The students will be able to see the reference image being used for that week’s class as well as the instructor drawing the subject step-by-step. The instructor will be drawing digitally using Clip Studio Paint. Students are free to ask questions and ask for advice throughout the lesson. The instructor will also give enough time to pause so students can catch up. This will also give the instructor time to check on student progress throughout the lesson. At the end of the lesson, students will be given an opportunity to share their creations. If their pictures are not finished, they may finish it before the next class and have a chance to share their artwork at the beginning of the next meeting. Before class ends, students will each offer a suggestion for the next character to be drawn at the next meeting. All character suggestions are put on a wheel and are selected randomly to keep things fair. Below is the schedule for our upcoming classes. It will be regularly updated with the characters suggested in class. December 1: Clay The Mudwing Dragon From Wings of Fire December 8: To Be Determined By Students December 15: To Be Determined By Students December 22: No Class December 29: To Be Determined By Students I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting!

Welcome! My name is Rocco Sepulveda.
I have been a certified teacher for over 10 years. I have also been a Digital Artist for over 10 years as well!
My classroom is a space where learners can shine creatively, make strides towards their artistic goals, and share their passions with each other. It is a safe space where students can openly be themselves. In my courses students will learn to become better artists as they practice different drawing techniques. These techniques include learning to sketch, learning to break a figure down into simple shapes, learning a layered approach to drawing, learning different styles of applying linework, and learning different methods for rendering artwork.
I look forward to having your learner in my class!
