In this one-class students will create a realistic drawing of an eye inspired by the one M.C. Escher's "Eye". Maurits Cornelis Escher (17 June 1898 – 27 March 1972), usually referred to as M. C. Escher, was a Dutch graphic artist born in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. He is known for his woodcuts, lithographs and mezzotints. These feature impossible constructions, architecture and tessellations (means "like tiles"). He also illustrated books, designed tapestries, postage stamps and murals. *Students need to be within the stated age range please I will work step by step with students to draw and shade a realistic eye similar to his In Escher's piece the iris has a skull in it. I will encourage the students to use their own image. In the sample pictured on the class listing I put a little tree in mine. *Please see Supply List below
