Class Experience

In this class, we will practice drawing from the three different perspectives found in art: one-point, two-point, and three-point perspective.

The first type of perspective, one-point perspective, is the simplest perspective to understand but is the foundation for the other 2 perspectives. This perspective, even though being the simplest, is used by professional artists in a lot of their work.

Two-point perspective is more dynamic and more appealing to the eye.

Three-point perspective is the most advanced type we will be learning about in this class and is the most expressive perspective an artist can use. We will learn how to use each of these perspectives and then spend time on a one-point perspective project to take away from class.

Learning Goals

The goal of this class is to get a basic understanding of the 3 most common types of perspective and to walk away with some sketches and a full drawing using one-point perspective.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have loved drawing since I was a young boy. As a professional artist, I love to see imagination and creativity come alive! I believe that anyone can be an artist, and inside every child lies a unique storyteller waiting to be awoken. The stories of life through the filter of imagination compel us to live life to its fullest extent. Anime is my favorite storytelling genre because I believe this very philosophy has been captured by many beautiful anime series.

Every class I teach will heavily focus on visiting imaginative worlds through the works of others (books, movies, videos, anime, games, and art) as well as through creating our own characters and their worlds. The difficulty of my art classes range from beginner to advanced so no matter what your student is looking for, I have a class that will fit their skill level. My classes mainly focus on art tutorials, character design, the art of storytelling, analyzation of stories, and the creation of our own stories.
