DRAWING ART CLUB:
This private group art class is to help students further develop their drawing skills using drawing pencils, colored pencils, or watercolor pencils. Each student will have the opportunity to select their own subject from a photo or other source. For example, if they love to draw animals, anime, dragons, or other characters they can select a photo or source to draw from. Students will get to draw what they love while getting one on one direction and guidance helping them to expand their talents.

Each session will be learner-directed, therefore each session topic will be based on what the student would like to learn to draw and their individual needs and goals. It is helpful if students can make suggestions to me in advance as to what they would like to draw in the upcoming class and following classes, should they stay enrolled. I believe having the option to choose their drawing subject helps create excitement and motivation. Materials required for each class are listed below.

For each class, I request that students have a photo selected of what they would like to draw. They will need to have their selected picture printed out at large scale on paper (8.5” x 11” paper is fine). Also, I ask that students send me a copy of the image via email using the teacher tab on the learner page. This photo will be a constant reference during class.

In each session, I will work with each student individually, providing one on one instruction, guidance, and feedback. Instruction will be shown via an overhead camera and share screen. Students will be able to ask questions as needed and are encouraged to work at their own pace. Interaction with students and myself is allowed during the lesson, but focus is important.

My teaching philosophy is: I strongly believe everyone is creative in some way and I enjoy helping my students to discover that. In my classes, students learn important lessons such as ‘don’t compare yourself to anyone but yourself’. And ‘there is no such thing as a mistake as long as you learn from it’. They learn they can do hard things, give themselves permission to take their time, and most of all - have fun! These help learners to gain confidence in themselves as they discover and grow their talents and creativity.

***Please see the required materials list below before signing up.***

Materials Required:
- White Drawing Paper or Matte Board
- Extra paper for practice
- Drawing Pencils - You will need H, HB, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, F, 2H, 3H, & 4H. (I recommend the brand Staedtler or something similar)
- Eraser ( Any will do. I recommend kneaded rubber erasers, as they are more flexible and allow artists to get more fine detailed.)
- Sharpener

Optional Supplies Based on Learners Goals:
- Colored Pencils (I recommend Prisma Colored Pencils). Will need these if you want to draw in colored pencil.
- Watercolor Pencils & paint brush. Will need these if you want to do a watercolor drawing.

These small private group classes allow for students to draw what they love, receive one on one direction, and grow there talents. I am so excited to see your child in my class and to help them grow their artistic talents. Hope to see you in class!
