In this class your child will learn all those traditional nursery rhymes that are the bedrock for early literacy skills and at the same time learn to follow simple instructions and use their fine motor skills while they draw! While acting out and singing your child will begin learning skills that prepare them for reading and writing, this includes rhyme, similes and alliteration to name a few. Each class will begin with a familiar "Hello!" song then 10 mins will be spent singing together, and the rest of the lesson we will draw together. I aim to create a welcoming, relaxed environment for your child, where they are free to chat along as we draw and color. During singing time I will mute the class so that the delay on Zoom will not affect the feel of the class. So what will we learn? Oct 31st- I'm a little teapot Nov 7th- Hey diddle diddle Nov 14th- The wheels on the bus Nov 21st- Hickory Dickory dock Nov 28th- Ten little monkeys Dec 5th- Down in the jungle Dec 12th- 5 little speckled frogs Dec 19th- See the little bunnies 2023- Preview Head, shoulders, knees and toes Three blind mice I will be requesting permission to be able to unmute once your learner joins the meeting. Can you please help your learner make the correct selection to grant permission. Thank you. It makes for a smoother class if I can mute and unmute the learner.

Hello there!
I am a qualified British teacher living in the U.K. I have taught the 3-11 year old children for over for over 15 years. At present I teach part-time at a local school Here I teach 4-8 year olds Math Mastery and phonics.
My other passion is to teach children about the natural world through drawing and craft.
I am a qualified outdoor educator (Forest School Level 3), and cannot wait to bring the outside into your home. By teaching about the natural world I hope to encourage your child to go out, explore and become passionate about the natural world. Through drawing, natural crafts and stories I would hope to build a connection between your child and the natural world, that will light a spark of love for the outdoors, and will last them a lifetime.
I also love to pass on knowledge about my culture, I am originally from Wales, have lived in Scotland and now live in England... so there will be lots to learn in my lessons about these three countries of the United Kingdom.
I would wish your child to be so inspired by my lessons that they would want to find out more independently about art, nature and different cultures.
