Drawing 101 (FLEX): Learn to Draw Landscapes - Part 1

This FLEX course is designed for young artists who are looking to start their creative journey! It will provide a solid foundation for learners by starting with basic techniques that they will be able to apply to all their future creations. This course is for beginners, so no prior drawing experience is required!

In this FLEX course learners will learn how to draw a variety of landscapes. Each week will focus on a different type of landscape image. We will discuss the basics of perspective, as well as understanding how the foreground, middleground, and background work together in an image. We will learn how to color and blend with both colored pencils and water color pencils. I will provide weekly pre-recorded videos, which will allow learners to follow along at their own pace. Each young artist will be encouraged to share their work in the classroom, or send it directly to me for encouragement and feedback.

Weekly videos will be approximately 30 to 40 minutes long, occasionally longer. Artists should spend at least an hour working on their homework per week. 

Week 1 - Learn to use 1-point perspective and draw a trail in the forest 
Week 2 - Learn to draw a mountain landscape 
Week 3 - Learn to draw a desert landscape 
Week 4 - Learn to draw a beach sunset
