Homework
1-2 hours per week. Homework/Exercises are 5 minute practice sketches and drawings.
Assignments
Assignments/Practice are 15-30 sketches that help students practice and apply the principles learned in class before starting on a larger project.
Projects
Projects are larger pieces. Students are expected to spend at least an hour on each project. Care should be taken to perfect projects so that they are the very best a student has to offer.
Letter Grade
Letter Grades can be assigned for each practice and project throughout the class.
Progress Report
Progress Reports will be given to each student upon successfull completion of practice and projects.

Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner Level
This class provides students with the basic drawing tools needed to provide a good foundation for their artwork. Students will learn everything from perspective to creating visual textures, culminating in a drawing project that showcases their growth. Each week students will watch videos on the specified topic. Each video contains a demonstration of the technique. Classwork consists of exercises (5 minutes), Practice (15-30 minutes) and Projects (1-2 hours).Students will be able to contact me in between lessons for help on their projects.

Lesson 1:
Understanding Perspective
 This lesson will teach students what perspective is and it's importance as the basic building block of drawing. 
Lesson 2:
One Point Perspective
 How to utilize one point perspective in drawings to achieve a three dimensional space. 
Lesson 3:
Homework and Projects
 Exercises:
-Practicing Lines and Circles

Practice:
-9 One Point Cubes on the same page
-Railroad Tracks

Projects:
-Bird's eye city view
-1 Point Perspective Room 
Lesson 4:
2 Point Perspective
 How to utilize two point perspective to create 3d drawings in a 2 dimensional space. 

Other Details

Learning Needs
This class contains short instructive videos designed to be easy to follow and short in order to keep attention. There is little to no reading as each video will be spoken word combined with demos.
Pre-Requisites
Students should have the desire to improve their drawing skills as well as the ability to listen and accept constructive critique.
