Welcome to our drawing class for 7-12-year-old students! Please bring pencils, markers, and a sketchbook or paper to class. Thank you! We will begin class by asking about their favorite dragon, to help students become comfortable in class! Next, we will discuss our objective, which is how to sketch a dragon. I will hold up an example that I've created, so students will understand the goal. Next, I will hold up my sketchbook and show students each step necessary to create this project. I will guide the students by emphasizing line, shape, and form. We will use a variety of drawing techniques such as tonal sketching and blending. Students will be able to customize their own dragons as well. Also, I will encourage them and help them build their confidence as artists. Next, students will share their completed projects with each other. I look forward to meeting you!
