In this 8-week flex course students will create portraits of their own cartoon characters! Students are introduced to basic drawing techniques in this course and will practice drawing the face in 3 views, gender bending, aging, inking, and coloring their characters. This course is for novice cartoon, anime, and manga artists. These are students that are completely new to drawing cartoon characters and character features. At the end this course, students will be able to draw cartoon character portraits using basic shapes and steps, basic inking techniques, basic coloring techniques, and references.
Homework Offered
Weekly homework assignments are where students can express their creativity by creating their own original characters. Homework will be assigned and posted to the classroom page on Wednesdays.
