In this ongoing course, students will enjoy drawing Star Wars characters and more while discussing interesting facts about them! Each class depends on the students' requests from any characters from comics, movies, shows, or games.

In this ongoing course, students will learn how to draw Star Wars and more! Each class depends on the students' requests, such as Marvel, DC, Star Wars, and any other characters from comics, movies, shows, or games. The students will utilize colored pencils and soft pastels to complete their personalized drawing. I will be demonstrating how to draw live during the class. Students are welcome to ask questions and personalize the drawing. Throughout class, students can discuss why they like the character we are drawing. Drawing Star Wars and more will be a fun way to help students interact while also improving their artistic skills.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their artistic skills through drawing with colored pencils and soft pastels.

Students will need the following for class: -Paper or canvas paper -Colored pencils, crayons, or markers -Pencil -Eraser -Sharpie Optional: -Soft pastels (chalk) -Kleenex or paper towel -Baby wipes or wet napkins

Hello! My name is Cynthia McClellan and I live in Alabama, USA! I have three degrees in Mathematics Education: Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Educational Specialist, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I have taught high school mathematics for 27.5 years. I taught geometry majority of my teaching career and taught virtual online school over the past few years. I have recently retired from the public high school and have been teaching through Outschool to students from all over the world.
When I am not teaching, my hobbies include painting, reading, gardening and playing with my dog. I love traveling and spending time with my family. My daughter and I have traveled extensively across the United States, from whale watching on the East Coast to hot air balloon riding on the West Coast. Of course, my favorite vacations are spent at various beaches.
My teaching philosophy revolves around hands on practicing and bringing real life applications as much as possible to the classroom environment. We will explore concepts in math, psychology, and art through geometric designs, projects, paintings, pastels, pencils and so much more. Your child's imagination and creativity will shine!
