Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Beginner Level
Each week of "Draw Together" is a miniature drawing workshop. Learners follow along as I demonstrate how to draw a new animal in each class, using photographs as inspiration. We will practice drawing from observation (making our drawings look similar to the reference photo) and including a background. Students are encouraged to add color, shading, and creative details as desired.

My goal is not only to teach students how to draw a particular animal, but to help them practice the skills they need to draw anything they want!

I have taught drawing for many years, and in my observation the best way to teach drawing is to demonstrate! Drawing together with my students is a great way to illustrate drawing techniques while also helping them to build the critical thinking and observational skills they need to continue working on their own.
My goal is to build my students' skills and confidence as young artists!
