Join the ultimate dragon drawing experience and help your young artists become dragon drawing experts with our step-by-step process. Our dragon drawing class is perfect for kids who want to learn how to draw dragons like a pro. Our class provides practice in drawing all the tricky spots of these magnificent creatures, along with incorporating dragon biology, anatomy, and habitats into designs, just like in the Wings of Fire book series. Students will learn how to draw full-body dragons, heads, faces, eyes, expressions, horns, wings, legs, feet, tails, and scales. We'll be using simplified shapes based on the descriptions of dragons in the Wings of Fire book series. Each week, we'll focus on a specific dragon, starting with the Sandwing dragon and finishing with the Hivewing dragon. Your kids will learn how to draw each dragon step-by-step, and complete their homework by coloring their drawings. Our 9-week series is packed with tips and tricks, and while we're drawing, students will be challenged with silly trivia questions related to the dragon of the week. No need to buy any extra materials for this class as whatever drawing supplies you have on hand will work. Plus, at the end of each class, your kids are invited to share their drawings with the rest of the class. We want our students to be proud of the work they create while also being mindful of ways they can improve as artists. That's why we've designed some questions to help them develop a growth mindset. Once your kids complete the series, they may be interested in joining the Dragon Drawing Club Level 2, where they'll use more advanced techniques and draw hybrid mixes of the ten dragons from this series. Sign up now and ignite your kids' creativity with the ultimate dragon drawing adventure! Classes will proceed even if there's only one learner, and in case no one signs in by the ten-minute mark, the instructor will provide a video lesson for students to complete on their own. No refunds will be issued in this scenario. WEEK of 3/4/24: We will learn how to draw a SKYWING dragon step by step. Homework complete coloring the drawing. Teacher expertise and credentials
As a homeschool mom, I'm excited to share that I've been homeschooling for 19 years and have plenty of experience under my belt. I'm also an artist and photographer with a passion for fine art, photography, and art education. I love teaching children's art classes and have done so both privately and through local after school and children's museum programs.
My work has even been featured in Parents Magazine and on numerous photography blogs! I'm all about finding connections between things that may not seem related at first glance. To do that, I like to break things down into their simplest parts and look for similarities. This helps me turn seemingly complicated projects into simple, step-by-step lessons that are easy for kids to understand.
I also have a great sense of humor and love to infuse silliness into my lessons and artwork. I appreciate the irony in both art and life and try to bring that lightheartedness to everything I do. So, whether you're just starting out or have been homeschooling for a while, I'm here to share my knowledge and make your homeschooling journey a fun and creative one!
For parents whose children attend traditional schools, you may be wondering how my experience as a homeschool mom and artist can benefit your family. Well, as an art educator, I strongly believe that creativity is an essential component of a child's education, regardless of whether they are homeschooled or attend traditional schools. Incorporating art and creative projects into your child's learning can help them develop critical thinking skills, enhance their problem-solving abilities, and encourage self-expression.
Furthermore, my years of experience in teaching children's art classes have taught me how to create fun and engaging projects that your child can enjoy even outside of a homeschool setting. So, whether you're looking to enhance your child's education at home or simply want to find ways to incorporate more creativity into their day-to-day lives, I'm here to share my knowledge and passion for art education with you and your family.
