Class Experience
In this drawing class, we will learn how to draw piles of cats! Piles of cats can be funny, and I encourage students to illustrate the cats with funny expressions and positions. The piles of cats can be made into Christmas trees, stacks of cats trying to fit inside boxes, or just a pile of lazy cats sleeping. In this class, we will use our imaginations! The topics students will learn are sketching, line art, overlapping, repeating patterns and how to apply color. We will use pencils to...
Students will learn about creating expressive artwork, and how to incorporate humor into their art. Students will gain confidence in their artistic skills.
Materials List: art paper (no lines please), a pencil, an eraser, a fine tip Sharpie marker, watercolor paints or colored pencils. If using watercolors, please have a selection of brushes, clean water and paper towels.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
