Class experience
Students will learn to draw realistic people with pencils. This is an intermediate to advanced drawing class. (Students should have some drawing experience). I show how to use different pencils to attain different values and textures, and how to really draw the shapes and lines in the pictures we draw. In each class we discuss elements of art (line, shape, color, value, form, texture, and space). We will utilize a grid in all our drawings in order to aid in correct proportional...

Pencil, eraser, and Paper. :) Art pencils are highly recommended but school pencils work just fine in a pinch. Any eraser will work but I recommend trying a "kneaded eraser" if possible because it doesn't leave "eraser crumbs". Any paper works. I usually use regular computer paper folded in half because that size works well for the time we have. Drawing in a sketchbook is great too.
All the people/figures are fully clothed in the source images and in our drawings. (There is a modest one-piece swimsuit on the surfer.)
